The Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship of the FACC Foundation

As the president of New York City’s Prestige Group, native Frenchman Julien Legeard builds upon 12 years in the specialty construction and metalwork fabrication industries. To inform and augment his professional endeavors, Julien Legeard holds active membership in the French-American Chamber of Commerce.

An organization with 20 chapters and 4,000 members across the United States, the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) supports strong business relationships between France and America, and helps its membership base develop businesses both domestically and abroad. FACC also helps prospective graduate students pay for business school through its Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship.

Open to aspiring business leaders in both France and America, the Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship promotes interaction and mobility between these two countries. Each scholarship covers $10,000 in tuition fees, and the FACC has awarded more than $500,000 in Bellanger Scholarships to date. Scholarship winners have gone on to complete leading MBA programs, such as those at the Harvard School of Business and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mission of the French-American Chamber of Commerce

Julien Legeard serves as president of The Prestige Group, a construction consulting company based in New York City. As part of the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC), Julien Legeard was nominated for its Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2015.

The FACC supports entrepreneurs who build the economic relationship between France and the United States while promoting the development of member companies in New York. It serves as a networking platform as well as an information exchange, allowing professionals in the tax, entrepreneurship, customs, and immigration fields to share their insights with one another through panel discussions and events such as networking opportunities, sports tournaments, and holiday receptions.

Each year, the FACC's New York chapter hosts its Gala Evening at Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan. This serves as both a fundraising event for the organization's nonprofit arm, the French-American Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and a chance for members to connect with one another. Through these events, the FACC is able to raise funds for scholarship programs, building the next generation of French-American business leaders.
